Public Records Guide

How to get the Florida voter file

Florida's list of registered voters is public record. This guide covers what the file contains, how to request it from the state, and the fastest way to actually use it.

What's inside

What the voter file contains

The official roster of every registered voter in the state, maintained by the Florida Division of Elections and the 67 county Supervisors of Elections. Ballots are secret — voting history shows participation, never choices.

  • Full name and residence address
  • County and precinct
  • Party affiliation (REP, DEM, NPA, minor parties)
  • Registration date and voter status
  • Date of birth
  • Congressional, senate, and house districts
  • Voting history: which elections, by what method
  • Mailing address when different from residence
Getting the data

Three ways to get it

Statewide extract from the state

The Florida Division of Elections publishes monthly registration and voting-history extracts. They arrive as large raw text files — tens of millions of rows, no tooling attached.

County lists from Supervisors

Each county Supervisor of Elections provides voter lists for their county, sometimes with extra formats or filtering. Fees and turnaround vary county to county.

Search it instantly on Neurelect

The full statewide file as a live, searchable database — every county, refreshed monthly, voting history already joined. Search by name or address, filter, build lists, export.

Certain data is always withheld from public records: Social Security numbers, driver license numbers, and signature images are exempt, and some protected individuals' records are excluded. Review the Division of Elections' usage guidance before redistributing voter data.

The catch

Raw files aren't usable on their own

The state extract is a snapshot in flat-file form. To answer even simple questions you need to load it into a database, join registration to voting history, and re-import a fresh extract every month as voters register, move, and change parties.

"How many NPA voters live in this precinct?"

"Which households have two or more Republicans?"

"Who voted in the last three primaries?"

Neurelect answers these in seconds — or you can just ask the AI analyst in plain English.
